Happy New Year everyone! Well this is the first of a series of new print projects planned for 2012, so keep checking back for up-dates!
At the time of this post I’m watching (not for the first time), in my opinion the best American TV drama series ever! If you’ve seen it you probably understand and if you haven’t, I highly recommend checking it out! It’s by no means perfect and it does suffer from moments of ‘cheese’ but it’s still a classic.
This 2 colour hand pulled screen print is the largest I’ve attempted so far and measures 50cm x 70cm (approx) and is printed on high quality acid free 220gsm Fabriano Rosaspina art stock which has a deckled edge on the top and bottom. Each print is signed & numbered and I’m only going to be printing 100 of these so once they’re gone they’re gone! Enjoy!

This is probably the most ambitious screen print I’ve produced so far, but I’m really happy with the result. I was inspired to produce this a couple of months ago when I saw my housemate Brenden watching ‘Your Highness’ and I have to say I wasn’t impressed. So I got to thinking about the far better film, The Princess Bride. I hadn’t seen it for years, there are so many great quotes from that film, I’ve chosen one, from my favourite character Inigo Montoya as played by Mandy Patinkin.

This 4 colour hand pulled screen print measures 42cm x 59cm (approx) and is printed on high quality acid free 270gsm art stock. Each print is signed & numbered and is strictly limited to an edition of 250. Each print will be rolled and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.

I think one of the first books I was exposed to as a child were the Cat in Hat and Green eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. I remember being fascinated by the the bright colours and weird characters. I recently found this quote by the great doctor and just thought it was perfect, as well as being true!

This three colour hand pulled screen print measures 42cm x 59cm (approx) and is printed on high quality acid free 250gsm Southbank art stock. Each print is signed & numbered and is strictly limited to an edition of 250 so as always once they’re gone they’re gone! Each print will be packaged and shipped in sturdy cardboard tube.

Hi everybody and ho, ho ho!
This Friday and Saturday I’ve been manning a stall at the ‘Don’t Panic!’ Christmas Craft Fair, held at the Quad in Derby. Big thanks to everyone that came, especially to those people that parted with their hard earned cash and bought one of my screen prints!

This print probably won’t make much sense to anyone who hasn’t wasted away hours of their life playing video games, specifically Metal Gear Solid. But if like me have or still do this print will bring back familiar memories.

Hello all!
It’s been a busy couple of months and I should have some new prints to show you soon! Apart from being busy creating new works I’ve also had one of my ‘TIME!’ prints selected for the Leicester 23rd Open Art Exhibition! This was my first time entering the open and so I was very chuffed that they picked one of my works.

The exhibition runs from 12th November 2011 – 8th January 2012 at the New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, Leicester. All details can be found here: http://www.leicester.gov.uk/open23/

The buffet and free wine were also a highlight!

The nice people at Talent House East Midlands (THEM for short) a fresh & creative art & design boutique based in St. Martins Square Shopping Centre, in Leicester city centre, now sell some of my screen prints!
(Managing Directors Stephanie and Elizabeth)
‘’THEM’’ provides a platform for emerging artists and designers from throughout the Midlands to showcase and sell their work. As graduates Stephanie and Elizabeth appreciate that it can be very difficult to become established within the art and design industries, and there are little, to no outlets in Leicester that purely provide support for this. Their aim is to help emerging creatives to gain a market within their chosen field.
They also hope to engage with the general public, and offer cutting edge design and affordable contemporary artwork that would not usually be found on a ‘regular’ high street.

The third in my series of musical prints is of my all time favourite guitarists, he’s probably not the most technically gifted out there but he’s created some of the best well known rock riffs ever! Not to mention he’s a legend in his own lifetime!

This is the second of a series of prints based on some of my favourite musicians. Although when I first heard one of his songs I had to switch the radio off, the sound of his voice just put me off! But then a few years later I heard The Needle and the Damage Done which remains one of my favourite Neil Young songs to this date and was instantly hooked! I now have his entire back catalogue (I think) and was very fortunate to see him play live when he came to the U.K in 2009.

I was late in discovering Johnny Cash and have to admit in being a bit dismissive whenever any of my friends previously recommended him. Then I heard his cover of Hurt a song originally by the Nine Inch nails and immediately loved it and went on to listening to his entire American Recordings albums. So here is my tribute to one of musics greats.
