New M.A.S.H print!

My tribute to a iconic classic TV show that I grew up watching as a kid. I just loved all the characters and the fast paced script writing, so many great one liners!

Jokes from the Fringe

This was a special edition screen print I produced for the Red Door gallery in Edinburgh. Each year the festival announces the top 10 jokes from that year, so I went and picked my favourites from the last five years or so, not an easy task!

Trainspotting

The first Trainspotting film was one of those films that seemed to capture a generation and it takes me back to summer days listening to the excellent soundtrack. I was asked by The Red Door Gallery in Edinburgh to come up with a Trainspotting print to coincide with the sequel which I thought was pretty good too.

This two colour hand pulled screen print measures 50cm x 70cm 19.6″ x 27.5″ (approx) and is printed on 250gsm art stock. Each print is signed & numbered and is strictly limited to an edition of 250 so once they’re gone they’re gone.

The Dude abides

Look what came through the post today!

Last year I was asked by an Italian publisher if I would be part of a collaborative art book project based on the Cult Cohen brothers film ‘The Big Lebowski’, of course I said yes! The book as well as featuring my second ‘Dude’ screen print also showcases artwork by 66 artists from all over the world.

It really ties the room together man.

The Black Crowes

I’ve been a big fan of the Black Crows since their first album Shake your Money Maker and have been fortunate to see them live a few times. I was gutted when they split, so this is my little tribute to a great rock band.

Read all about it! The Ankh Morpork Times!

As I’m dyslexic, I’m not much of a reader but I do enjoy listening to audio books and I have to say my favourites are the Discworld series by the late, great Sir Terry Pratchett and expertly narrated by Nigel Planer and Stephen Briggs.

So when I was comissioned by the Story Museum in Oxford to design a Discworld print for a special event I jumped at the chance. I hope you like it as much as enjoyed creating it.

An audience with the The Beatles!

I love my music especially live music and as a frequent gig goer I was noticing more and more people recording the gig on their phones. I must admit I don’t get it, surely it would be better to just stand/sit back and enjoy the experience? Oh well each to their own. So this is my little comment on one aspect of modern life.

This one colour hand pulled screen print measures 50cm x 70cm 19.6″ x 27.5″ (approx) and is printed on 250gsm art stock. Each print is signed & numbered and is strictly limited to an edition of only 300 so once they’re gone they’re gone.

All my prints are designed to fit standard size IKEA RIBBA frames.

Each print will be packaged and shipped in sturdy cardboard tube and posted by Royal Mail 1st class Recorded delivery which normally takes 1-3 working days. Orders outside of the U.K will be shipped by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service which is trackable and usually takes 7-14 working days.

All my prints are hand-pulled screen prints, so there may be minor variations to each print which makes each one unique and original. Because of this, the piece that you receive might differ very slightly from the photograph.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my prints! If you’d like to keep up-dated on my new works, exhibitions and craft fairs just follow my Facebook page Barry D Bulsara Printworks. I am also on Twitter and Instagram @BarryDBulsara.

Ok, so it turns out my second new print of the year is also Star Wars related! Fans of the original trilogy will remember these weird musical characters from the New Hope episode IV. Kong Strikes Back!!

Ok, so here’s my first print of 2016 and surprise, surprise it’s Star Wars influenced ;)

Originally I was going to use the Empire State Building as in the King Kong film, but on consideration I think the Crysler building is more beautiful. So I hope you enjoy my little Star Wars/King Kong mash up!

Vote for the Doctor!

Well today is the final day of the election! I live across the road from my local polling station so I thought as an alternative to putting up the usual political party posters in my window, I’d do something that was more my style…if only I could of voted for the Doctor!

The Ensign Who Loved Me

For the past couple of years I’ve donated some of my prints to a charity auction at the Hal-Con in Nova Scotia Canada. Last year Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) from Star Trek Voyager was the guest auctioneer and when I was told he’s be doing it again I suggested that I did a special limited edition print that featured him. Apparently he really liked it and kept a copy for himself. Below is my copy that was sent back to me signed by Garrett himself!

Birmingham NEC Comic Con!

Last weekend was my first big Comic Con. It was quite an experience, fantastic to see all the Cosplay people as well as the 501st but I think the highlight for me was meeting two of the actors from ‘Allo ‘Allo, very fond memories of watching it as a child.

Stoke Comic Con

Yesterday I had a table at Stokes very first comic con! It was a great first event, lots of people came and it was great!

My highlight would have to be meeting James Cosmo (Jeor Mormont) and Josef Altin (Pypar) from Game of Thrones my favourite TV show at the moment. I had a chance to chat over a coffee with Josef before the event and I can genuinely say he was a very nice chap, I’m sure Mr Cosmo is also a very nice guy but I didn’t really get to talk to him as he was on his way to a question panel.

Chilin’ with Josef Altin

The great James Cosmo

Better Call Saul!

Based on a previous design, the inspiration for this print comes from one of my favourite TV shows at the moment ‘Breaking Bad’ for those who haven’t seen it I highly recommend you give it a try! Saul Goodman is VERY unethical lawyer, but very good at helping his criminal clients off the hook, plus he’s very funny too!
